Operations Associate at Falckon Health, performs a variety of tasks associated with the medical billing and collections process and ensures optimal performance of the practice by implementing the transformational revenue cycle management services and solutions.
Responsibilities
- Prepares, edits, and submits account billing in a timely manner and in accordance with customer contract and payer rules and regulations.
- Demonstrates exceptional service and integrity related to customer accounts through accurate, timely, relevant, and quality work efforts of all Accounts Receivable or assigned tasks.
- Follows up with insurers and patients to collect outstanding balances while providing exceptional customer service focused on building enduring business relationships.
- Research and processes charge revisions, corrections, adjustments, and/or discounts associated with disputes.
- Responsible for telephone and/or written correspondence with insurance companies for claims follow up.
- Documents case activity, communications, and correspondence in Company database to ensure completeness and accuracy of account activity and actions taken to resolve
- Ensures that secondary bills and patient invoices are accurately generated and submitted on a timely basis.
- Accurately identifies and updates various types of insurance entry information as needed.
- Responsible for identifying potential errors that require necessary coding reviews, corrections, or adjustments.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by staying current on relevant products, health insurance plans, policies, and procedures.
- Leverages revenue cycle management expertise to provide input on training content, knowledge transfer programs, policies, and procedures in order to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the entire process.
- Adheres to all internal Corporate Compliance guidelines, OIG, government healthcare regulations, regulatory policies and procedures, and privacy and security standards in accordance with government agencies, including HIPAA requirements.
- Treats Protected Health Information (PHI) with the strictest confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards.
- Acquires a basic understanding of the field to include regulatory compliance issues and adheres to these guidelines.
- Maintain an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with Company policy
- Read and analyze various internal reports that contain claims and insurance information
Key Requirements
- Completed or following final year degree/professional qualification.
- Experience in working for RCM or similar industry will be an added advantage.
- Be able to work in US shift hours (Night)- 7.00 PM to 4.00 AM.
- Independent; ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of management in English.
- Strong organizational skills; detail-oriented, thorough, dependable, trustworthy, with positive attitude.
- Ability to multi-task effectively without compromising the quality of the work.
